Voet is Growing!
To support our ambition of providing the best service to our customers throughout the Netherlands, we have opened a new branch in Doetinchem.
“Never Go Dark Again” with the Wireless Synchronization Box
As power supply plays an increasingly vital role in daily life, we see that power outages have a greater and greater impact. This is why synchronous grid takeovers are now often preferred over switching “in the dark.” With an average of 15 synchronous grid takeovers per day, we at Voet have extensive knowledge and experience in this area. And even though our specialists deal with these takeovers daily, we still encountered situations where a synchronous grid takeover via cable was technically impossible.
“We guide our customers through the entire process, from start to finish.”
At Voet, we always think along with our customers. Do you have a challenging issue that calls for a creative and innovative solution? Then you’ve come to the right place. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all answers. Our goal is, and always will be, to provide reliable, tailor-made (temporary) power solutions. In this blog, we’ll show—through a real-life example—how our custom solutions come to life.
Sustainability Through Smart Power Solutions
By investing in the right power solutions, we as a company contribute to making our industry more sustainable. At the same time, we give our customers the opportunity to make better choices. In our view, Stage V generators, hybrid generators, and smart hybrid setups with battery packs are the way forward.
Limiting Inrush Currents
When switching on an emergency power installation, there are many different factors that can cause a dip in power. One of these factors is the inrush current, also known as the switch-on current. In this article, we explain exactly what it is, how we can limit it, and why it is important to do so.
Framework Agreement between Alliander and Voet
From October 2022, we will enter into a framework agreement with Alliander for a minimum of four years. For this period, Voet Energy Solutions will be the fixed partner for supplying temporary emergency power installations in two of the three regions (lots) of Alliander.
From Stage III to Stage V Generators
Step by step, we are renewing our rental fleet with the aim of offering only diesel generators with a Stage V engine for rent by 2024. Why? You can read all about it in this article. In 2020, we purchased our first generator with a Stage V engine, and since then we have continually invested in new machines with this type of engine.
New Twinsets with Stage V Engines
Voet Energy Solutions has invested in new twinset generators equipped with Stage V engines. With these types of generators, we can reduce emissions on your project by up to 90%. Stage V engines emit significantly fewer harmful substances and, because a twinset generator has two engines, it is easy to scale power output up or down.
An Open Safety Culture at Voet Energy Solutions
Voet Energy Solutions has once again been certified for Step 3 of the Safety Culture Ladder. This means that safety is firmly embedded in the company’s culture. Last week, two auditors visited to assess how Voet and its employees handle safety in the workplace. During two site visits, they also checked safety awareness at project locations.
Load Share, Load Balancing and Peak Shaving – What’s What?
Emergency power solutions are becoming increasingly smarter. By applying different types of software, there is much to be gained in both supplying and using energy. Load share, load balancing, and peak shaving are three important techniques that improve efficiency. Three terms that are closely related – but how exactly are they applied, and what are the differences?
