Phase 3 Energy Supply for Waste Processor in the Botlek
Over the past year, we have been working on the temporary energy supply for a waste processing facility in the Botlek. This project was set up to bridge the period until the new energy building is completed. Just like in Phase 2, we once again built an impressive scaffold structure.
In collaboration with United Rentals Europe, we set up a temporary power supply, including a 250-meter scaffold with a medium-voltage installation at its end. This medium-voltage installation provides the required power to various pumps and systems. Behind this installation, we placed three cabinets: one priority cabinet and two non-priority cabinets. The priority cabinet ensures that in the event of a grid failure, the generator automatically switches on so that the priority groups remain energized.

With this approach, we make optimal use of the existing large power connection. By laying the cable over the scaffold, we can bring energy exactly where it is needed at that moment. Once again, a great collaboration that demonstrates how smart solutions can guarantee reliable power supply, even in challenging environments.
