The Olympic Games 2024 in Paris: Voet Was There!
Our client in Paris could not afford any power outages during the Olympic Games, so they opted for a redundant system.
B360.tv spent several weeks in Paris during the Olympics, focusing on the power supply for a BBC film crew. For this, they made use of the fixed power grid in Paris.
Because outages were not an option, they wanted a redundant system in place. We connected two battery systems of 422 kWh each — designed as a UPS application — to the grid connection. These ensured that in the event of any grid disruption, the UPS would absorb the temporary dip. It was a smart choice by the client to go for redundancy, as the Paris grid went down for about four hours. Fortunately, the client never noticed the outage, and the systems remained fully operational.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with such a professional, friendly and helpful company with an amazing team. We look forward to collaborating on future projects together.
