Seamless transition to emergency power
Work and maintenance on the medium-voltage grid normally require the system to be temporarily disconnected from the power supply. For this customer, that was not an option: operations had to continue uninterrupted.
Together with the customer and the installer, we looked for a suitable solution. By working together to create a work plan and connection plan, we were able to take all the work off the customer’s hands. In collaboration with the installer we took over the system synchronously using four generators.
Thanks to this synchronized grid takeover, the medium-voltage grid could be safely disconnected and the transition to emergency power took place without interruption. As a result, maintenance and work could be completed without impacting business operations. The customer was completely unaffected and their production was able to continue as usual.
Good preparation, close collaboration and a reliable emergency power supply made it possible to carry out the work safely and ensure business continuity for the client.
