Energy Delivered by Boat to Texel
For a grid operator, we took over the operation of a medium-voltage substation on Texel. A project where sustainability and consideration for the surrounding environment were key priorities.
With a hybrid power system consisting of a battery storage unit and generator, we minimise noise pollution and emissions. The batteries are charged using solar energy fed back into the grid. Only when this energy source is insufficient do we use the generator as a backup.
This allows us to provide a sustainable and reliable power supply while keeping our impact on the natural environment to a minimum.
