At Voet, we specialize in synchronous grid transfers and enjoy tackling complex challenges. This expertise means we regularly participate in remarkable and demanding projects. Recently, commissioned by Kenter, we delivered a temporary power setup at Syngenta Seeds in Enkhuizen. With an impressive capacity of 5MW and our innovative wireless synchronization box, we proudly look back on this project.

Curious about how we did it? Keep reading and watch the video.

The Challenge

To enable a grid upgrade, Kenter asked us to provide uninterrupted power for one week at Syngenta Seeds. Syngenta Seeds is one of the world’s leading companies in crop protection, with around 2,000 employees working at the Enkhuizen site alone. It was therefore essential that daily operations and processes continued seamlessly, ensuring all 2,000 employees could carry out their work without disruption. In other words, a synchronous grid transfer was inevitable.

Wireless Synchronization Box

Unlike a ‘standard’ grid transfer, this project involved a transfer at medium-voltage level. In addition, the distances were considerable, and the transformers had different vector group configurations. With the introduction of our innovative wireless synchronization box, these conditions are no longer an obstacle — something we are proud to demonstrate in this video.
