The importance of this becomes even clearer when planned maintenance on the electricity grid interrupts the normal supply — as was the case for Florensis. The grid operator announced work on the cables and transformer station, which meant that the power supply from the station would need to be shut down.
We were tasked with ensuring that the daily operations at Florensis — a leading company in the horticulture sector — could continue without interruption.
To guarantee the power supply during the grid operator’s maintenance work, we installed two emergency power generators. These units were set up to switch over seamlessly and cover the company’s full energy consumption. The cable routing was laid with care, and the generator connections were executed to ensure Florensis could keep running without disruption.
Once the maintenance was complete and the transformer station restored to service, Florensis was safely reconnected to the station. This ensured a smooth transition from emergency power back to the regular grid without any interruption to business activities.
