New Twinsets with Stage V Engines

Voet Energy Solutions has invested in new twinset generators equipped with Stage V engines. With these types of generators, we can reduce emissions on your project by up to 90%. Stage V engines emit significantly fewer harmful substances and, because a twinset generator has two engines, it is easy to scale power output up or down.

The twinsets are powered by 2×300 kVA John Deere engines and housed in a robust, insulated 20 ft container. This design reduces noise levels to around 52 dBA. When operated in power management mode, one of the two John Deere engines can be easily switched off or on depending on the variable power demand. This ensures every litre of diesel is used as efficiently as possible.

How Are the New Twinsets Used?

These twinset generators are suitable for a wide range of applications. At our request, supplier HOB has equipped the machines with a DEIF control system. Since 2012, we have been equipping all our machines with this system, allowing them to be easily interconnected – including these new twinset generators.

When we connect a twinset generator to the Blue Battery Box, we create a hybrid setup. This way, we combine the maximum reliability of the diesel generator with the sustainable capabilities of a battery storage system. Especially when a PV installation is also present on a project, this setup results in the most sustainable possible emergency power installation. Our Blue Battery Boxes can store up to 5 MWh of energy.

Naturally, the twinset generators can perform synchronous grid takeovers. In addition, they can be used for peak shaving and operate seamlessly in load share, load balancing, island mode, as part of a smart grid setup, and much more.

Is the Twinset Right for Your Project?

These generators are suitable for a wide variety of tasks. With a combined capacity of 2×300 kVA, you can rely on our twinset even for projects with high power demands.

The Stage V engines meet the latest NRMM (Non-Road Mobile Machinery) requirements. This means there’s a good chance you can deploy this generator on projects in low-emission zones. You can read more about Stage V engines in this article.
